About Fitz:
The son of a Green Beret and a Texas pageant queen, Fitz was born
to host and entertain. At the tender age of six, the Bowie, Texas
native was already being heard on "Texoma" radio stations
after begging the local DJ's to put him on the air. His passion
for radio was undeniable and at age 17, the new owner of KNIN in
Wichita Falls, Texas recognized Fitz had something special and offered
him the morning show. With that, Fitz's on-air dreams came true
and The Fitz Radio Program was born.
Fitz's next big
break in radio came when he made the jump up to 93Q Country in
Houston as the co-host of its top-rated morning show. From there,
he had stints and #1 shows in Oklahoma City and Dallas, where
at 23 years old, he became the youngest host to capture his own
morning show in a top-ten radio market.
At 28, Fitz hosted
his first syndicated country countdown show, Fox All Access USA,
followed shortly after by the Powered by Country Countdown, and
his own national countdown show, The Hit List with Fitz. In addition
to now proudly hosting Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 with Fitz,
he was also the host of the top-rated, nationally syndicated show,
Fitz in the Morning, for many years.
Fitz currently
lives in Seattle and is blissfully married with seven kids, including
new twin baby boys, and a Boston terrier named Susie Lou. During
his downtime, Fitz enjoys singing, spending time with his family
and friends, coaching his little ones' sports teams, and watching
UFC, reruns of The Golden Girls, and his favorite Hallmark Channel
shows.
Fitz has been described
as someone with a huge heart who lives his life on the radio;
his conversations and stories are comical, honest and relatable.
Listening to Fitz "play the hits" is not like anything
else and after hearing his show once, you'll be hooked.
